Here is some information about Jordan from her mom :
Jordan is a 2 1/2 year old who is always smiling, chatting and fawning over her big brother, Jack. Jordan has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type I, a recessive genetic disease that affects her neuromuscular system. Although she isn’t physically strong, her heart and joyful demeanor are more powerful than any muscle in the body! She loves to swing outside, play "school" and most recently, anything art related.
Jordan’s days are filled with a lot of love and a lot of laughing. She is very vocal and will let us know when she is having a great time! We are so amazed at how the littlest things can take her breath away and give her pure joy. Being outside, either on a long walk or eating dinner on the deck, amazes her. Jordan loves to look around and watch the leaves shake on trees or have the breeze blowing in her hair. She has taught us not to take a single moment for granted, a life lesson worth sharing.
